Times up?

I woke up this morning to the dreary knowledge that this time, I would not cross the finish line.  My plan had been to read and listen to it all night, getting enough done so that I could breeze through it today.  I fell asleep at 2:30, with only a few more chapters done.

I’ve mentioned on here several times that this doesn’t mean I’ve lost, or that I’ve failed.  On the contrary, I have read much more of God’s marvelous word than I would have otherwise, and that’s a score no matter what!

But there is something I’m not sure I’ve talked about on here before.  And that’s the simple question: Is this really the finish line?  I think the answer is no.  Even as the year starts to pick up speed and get more busy, God’s word is still important.  If you haven’t finished, you still can.  And if you did, there’s always more to be learned.  You might not read as much a day as the schedule has, but you can still read.

So I think it all comes down to: This isn’t the end.  You can still learn and grow.  And we’re all winners that have read even a chapter more than we would have otherwise.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Until next time,

Victoria
